Deal Alert: US-India Big Data startup Qubole raises $7-M Series A

Bangalore- and Palo Alto, US-based Qubole Data Service has completed Series A funding round of $7 million from Charles River Ventures and Lightspeed Ventures, as well as angel investors Venky Harinarayan and Anand Rajaram. Based on Apache Hadoop and founded by the creators of Apache Hive and Facebook’s analytics platform, Qubole is focused on making analytics easy and accessible to businesses
